The New Ulm Figure Skating Club proudly presents ‘Happily Ever After’ as this year’s annual ice show.  The NUFSC has 58 skaters participating in the show this year.  Outside of New Ulm, some other skaters hail from Winthrop, Comfrey, Madelia, Redwood Falls, St. Peter and Mankato.

This year’s Show Director is Ellie Elchert, who skated professionally with Disney on Ice for five years. “I love what Disney can do to people of all ages. Whether you are 3 or 63, these are stories that everyone loves and can bring out their inner child. That is something really special and beautiful to me.”, says Ellie. She is very excited for this show as are the skaters who can’t wait to be a part of the fun productions featuring iconic songs, great lighting, and talented skaters of course! This show is sure to be a treat and a crowd favorite of all ages! Happily Ever After will feature classic princesses like ‘Cinderella’, ‘Snow White’, and Beauty and the Beast” to the more modern favorites of ‘Princess and The Frog’, ‘Tangled’, and ‘Frozen’, and of course everything in between! “There truly will be something for everyone to enjoy in this show, boys girls, young and old, it will not disappoint. Bring your friends and family for a fun night in New Ulm! The skater’s passion for skating and performing really shines through. I am so proud of all of them and can not wait to see them bring these fairy tales to life on the ice for our community!”

We are excited to announce this year’s soloists are, Kayla Adema (Anna), Julia Schneller (Elsa), Malia Wagner (Mulan), Elise Webb (Pocahontas), Amy Harris (Belle), Ashley Harris (Rapunzel), and LorRae Portner (Ariel).

Show dates and times for Happily Ever After are Saturday, February 24 at 1pm and 7pm, and Sunday, February 25 at 1pm.  Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for Students age 3-17.  Tickets are available at Hy-Vee and at the door of the New Ulm Civic Center on the Brown County Fairgrounds one hour before each show time.  The show will run no longer than two hours including a 20 minute intermission.  Non-food concessions include flowers provided by A to Zinnia Florals & Gifts, souvenirs, and good luck trinkets.  Come enjoy our spectacular show, sing along to the Disney songs you grew to love, and watch us recreate some of your favorite magical stories on ice!
